For us, photography is relational. We want to get to know our couples so we can capture true emotion and better tell their story through photos.
We want to capture couples honestly and authentically, which doesn’t usually happen in a 1-hour engagement shoot. Our couples shoots usually last 3-4 hours because we want to be thorough, get to know you, and help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We know that posing for photos can feel as awkward as watching a dad dancing at a wedding, but we’ll take care of you.

COACHING
We believe everyone can be photogenic with the right direction. People are more photogenic when they’re away from the camera. Our natural expressions and movements just tend to get lost when the camera comes out.
Our sister company specializes in online dating photography and has shot with 700+ people throughout the U.S. We’ve mastered the art of coaching people to appear on camera as they do in real life, which includes facial expressions and body movement. In a photo, your face conveys everything. Many photographers focus too much on body positioning and neglect the face. Body positioning is great, but if your facial expressions make you look uncomfortable, no amount of movement will fix that. We have a customized facial expression training just for couples so you can master the art of looking natural and confident in every photo you take. If you ever wonder why people like Ryan Gosling look great in pretty much every photo, it’s because they know exactly what to do with their face, even to the point where it becomes second nature.

Our specialty is wedding, engagement, and couples photography. Our goal with each couples session is to capture, natural, honest, and spontaneous photos in your element. We’ve seen too many generic photos that don’t really capture couples in an accurate, unique way, and our aim is to change that.
Contrary to the average engagement or couples session, our sessions run closer to three, four, or even five hours—but don’t let the length scare you. These sessions are custom tailored to who you are as a couple, they’re casual and free-flowing, and they usually fly by. We dive deep into who you are as a couple and how you spend your time together. If you like spending a slow Saturday morning at a cafe, maybe we’ll get some shots of you sipping cappuccinos and enjoying the patio. If barhopping is your thing, maybe we’ll stop by your favorite brewery or dive bar. If you’re an active couple, maybe we’ll take some shots kayaking on the lake, at the rock climbing gym, or going on a hike with your dog.
We have each couple fill out a detailed questionnaire so we can get to know much more than just your name and phone number. We want to know what makes you tick and customize the session in that direction. Our engagement sessions end up being more of an experience than something that you’re "supposed to do." Think of it like an open Saturday on your calendar where you have the day to do whatever you love—we're just there with you capturing the moments.
COUPLES & ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
We’ve been shooting photos for 10+ years and we’ve figured out what we like and dislike about the photography industry. We don’t want to box you in with parameters of what your shoot can look like. This means:

Our sessions last how long they last. Usually 3-5 hours, but whatever time is needed—we don’t want you to feel constrained by time.

As wedding photographers, we understand the importance of capturing every single precious moment of your big day. But we also know that the wedding itself can be a whirlwind, and it's hard to fully take in all the emotions and memories in the moment. That's why we like to take some time after the wedding to carefully curate the very best images from the day and present them to you in a special reveal session.
Meeting up with your loved ones the following day, and reliving the joy, laughter, and tears on a big TV screen can be an incredibly emotional and powerful experience. It's a chance for you to fully soak in the memories and relive the high of your wedding day all over again. It's a moment that you and your loved ones will treasure forever.
